Video: I am Hitkoak

Hitkoak, an elder from Kugluktuk, Nunavut, describes her youth: the food she ate, the toys she grew up with, and the values she learned from her elders. Now, she passes them on to the young people in her community.

This short film was made by Adine Atatahak and Tabitha Stirrett, youth from Kugluktuk, as part of the Moving Forward Together program, an initiative where youth and elders spend time together on the land, and Reel Youth, a national organization that promotes visual arts among young people.
