Sea ice ecoregions and why polar bears rely on them

Polar bears are dependant on sea ice to hunt for prey - and ultimately to survive. However, not all sea ice is created equal. Sea ice across the Arctic can actually be divided into four distinct habitats—or ecoregions. Learn more about these ecoregions and how they affect polar bears from Polar Bears International's Chief Scientist, Dr. Steven C. Amstrup.
